Macadamia Nuts (whole)
Whole macadamia nuts weigh 134g per cup. They are one of the fattiest nuts (75% fat), giving them a rich, buttery flavor and creamy texture. This high fat content means they go rancid faster than most nuts. Store in the refrigerator for up to three months or freeze for six months. Macadamias pair well with white chocolate in cookies and make an excellent nut butter. Chop by hand rather than in a food processor, which can quickly turn them into paste.
